August 2024 Newsletter and Report
This month was filled with vibrant celebrations as we observed four major festivals: Krishna Janmashtami, Hariyali Teej, Nagpanchami and Raksha Bandhan. Devotees actively participated in these festivities, creating joyous and memorable experiences. A unique part of this year’s Janmashtami celebrations was that it was held at Shri Kripalu Dham with tens of thousands of devotees that visited from all over India and many from all over the world! In terms of philanthropy, we organised three major distributions for school children across our three ashrams, benefiting thousands of students and supporting their educational journeys. A special distribution of essential items was also conducted for villagers in Mangarh. A very special documentary showcased in this must-watch video, (now available with English subtitles—just click the ‘CC’ button) features a heartwarming story of a student from Shri Maharajji’s college, whose life has been transformed through the knowledge and resources she has gained from the college. 1 Aug – Distribution event for 5000 children – Prem Mandir, Vrindavan Dham
On August 1, 2024, Jagadguru Kripalu Dham in Vrindavan hosted a distribution event for school children. During this event, 5,000 children received essential school supplies, including school bags, water bottles, lunch boxes, notebooks, and other stationery items. The smiles on the children’s faces reflected their excitement and gratitude, marking a significant contribution to their educational journey.

On August 2, 2024, Rangeeli Mahal in Barsana hosted a distribution, where 6,000 school children were provided with essential supplies, including school bags, water bottles, lunch boxes, notebooks, and other stationery items. The children’s delight was palpable as they received these crucial resources to support their educational endeavours.

7 Aug – Hariyali Teej – Prem Mandir, Vrindavan
Hariyali Teej, a vibrant and joyous festival, was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Vrindavan, in the presence of the Presidents of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, H.H. Sushri Dr. Vishakha Tripathi Ji, H.H. Sushri Dr. Shyama Tripathi Ji and H.H. Sushri Dr. Krishna Tripathi Ji.
A hallmark of Hariyali Teej is the preparation of special swings, or jhoolas, which play a central role in the festivities. During this year’s celebration, devotees were given the special opportunity to swing their Hari Guru as traditional malhar (monsoon theme) songs were sung by the swaris. Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj encouraged devotees to engage in Roopdhyan, meditating on Shri Shyama Shyam adorned in divine and beautiful green shringar as They gently swung on the jhula.
The festival also featured a cherished moment when devotees applied mehndi to the lotus feet of Shri Radha Krishna, enhancing the spiritual significance and devotion of the celebration.

8 Aug – Distribution to 1500 Villagers – Shri Kripalu Dham
Today at Shri Kripalu Dham, Mangarh, 1,500 villagers were provided with essential food items, clothing, cookware, and other necessities. This generous distribution aims to support and uplift the community, ensuring that these individuals have access to vital resources.

9 Aug – Nagpanchami / Gudiya – Shri Kripalu Dham
Nag Panchami, an auspicious festival observed during the month of Shravan, was celebrated with great fervour at Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat. The day began with a special Aarti in the morning, followed by a special Jhoola ceremony, where devotees had the opportunity to gently swing their beloved Gurudev.
Many devotees took the chance to offer their pranam and pay obeisance to Shri Maharaji in his room, deepening their connection with Harry Guru. A special mehndi ceremony was also held, during which devotees applied henna at the lotus feet of Shri Radha Krishna, adding a personal touch of devotion.

15 Aug – Indian Independence Day – Shri Kripalu Dham.
The Independence Day ceremony is a poignant and celebratory event held to honour the nation’s freedom and sovereignty. Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat observed this significant day with a special ceremony at Shri Kripalu Dham and Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat Education Campus, led by the esteemed Presidents of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, H.H. Sushri Dr. Vishakha Tripathi Ji, H.H. Sushri Dr. Shyama Tripathi Ji and H.H. Sushri Dr. Krishna Tripathi Ji. Our JKP President, H.H. Sushri Dr. Vishakha Tripathi Ji hoisted the Indian flag, symbolizing the nation’s pride and unity. During the ceremony, sadhaks, dressed in yellow, waved mini Indian flags as the national anthem, “Jana Gana Mana,” was sung.

18 Aug – Distribution to 7000 School children – Shri Kripalu Dham
Today, a special distribution event was held at Shri Kripalu Dham, where nearly 7,000 school children from Kunda and Pratapgarh received essential school supplies. These children, hailing from underprivileged backgrounds, were provided with school bags filled with stationery, water bottles, lunch boxes, and other necessities. The distribution was personally overseen by the Presidents of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat who, along with dedicated volunteers, ensured the smooth execution of this philanthropic initiative.
This summer distribution is part of a larger effort, benefitting nearly 20,000 children, and represents a significant contribution to the well-being and education of these young students in the community.

Today, all sadhaks of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat celebrated Raksha Bandhan with heartfelt devotion as we lovingly placed a Rakhi on the wrist of our Divine Brother, Shri Krishna, and our revered Shri Gurudev. Our esteemed Shri Gurudev, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, consistently reminds us that only God and Guru can offer us true and complete protection. All devotees took this opportunity to honour our Divine Brother, Hari Guru, with deep reverence and gratitude on this auspicious day!

A three day Janmashtami sadhana shivir was held at Shri Kripalu Dham was Sadhaks from across India and the globe gathered to partake in the grand festivities of the Shri Krishna Janmashtami Shivir, under the esteemed guidance of our JKP Presidents, H.H. Sushri Dr. Vishakha Tripathi Ji, H.H. Sushri Dr. Shyama Tripathi Ji and H.H. Sushri Dr. Krishna Tripathi Ji.

26 Aug – Janmashtami Celebrations 2024
Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with immense fervour and devotion at Shri Kripalu Dham, Bhakti Mandir as well as Prem Mandir, Vrindavan and Kiri Mandir, Barsana. The actual Janmashtami festivities commenced on 26 August (Divine Appearance of Shri Krishna) with a special early morning aarti at 4 am. The occasion was further honoured with an elaborate feast (bhog) featuring many delicacies offered to Lord Krishna. A grand Abhishek and Aarti were performed. Bhakti Mandir, Prem Mandir and Kirti Mandir were resplendently adorned with flowers, lights, and vibrant rangoli designs. Lord Krishna was dressed in fresh garments and embellished with intricate jewellery. Special jhankis depicting various leelas (divine pastimes) of Shri Krishna were displayed throughout the Mandir. Devotees from nearby districts and states flocked to all three Mandirs.
The pinnacle of the celebration occurred at midnight, the exact time of Shri Krishna’s birth. At this auspicious hour, the JKP Presidents, along with temple priests, performed an elaborate ritual known as “Abhishekam” at Bhakti Mandir, Shri Kripalu Dham. Shri Krishna was ceremoniously bathed with milk, honey, and other sacred substances. The atmosphere was electrifying as devotees sang, danced, and joyously celebrated at all three Mandirs.

27 Aug – Nandotsav at Prem Mandir, Vrindavan, Rangeeli Mahal, Barsana and Golok Dham, Delhi
Nandotsav was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Prem Mandir, Vrindavan Dham, Kirti Mandir, Bhakti Mandir and Golok Dham. Traditionally, this day is marked by villagers from Braj visiting Nand Baba’s house to have the darshan of Baby Krishna.
Prem Bhavan was beautifully transformed into a huge kunj (lush gardens) with various jhankis and sets representing Krishna’s divine pastimves. The beautiful scenes depicted Krishna’s childhood leelas, where Shri Krishna, Shri Radha, and the Gopis engaged in their divine play. These leelas were brought to life by devotees in the presence of our esteemed JKP Presidents.
The celebration included a special cake-cutting ceremony in honor of Lord Krishna’s birthday. Devotees also had the delightful opportunity to swing beautiful Baby Krishna in His cradle on stage. The atmosphere was filled with joy as devotees sang and danced.\

31 Aug – Shri Krishna’s Chathi – Vrindavan Dham
On Shri Krishna Chhathi, which commemorates the sixth day after Lord Krishna’s birth, the celebrations were both vibrant and heartfelt. The day began with a special aarti of Baby Krishna at 4 am, marking the early hours with devotional fervour.
Devotees had the joy of gently swinging Baby Krishna on stage, creating an atmosphere of tenderness and reverence. In the garden area, elaborate jankis (sets) were placed, depicting various leelas (divine pastimes) of Baby Krishna. Among these, a highlight was the peacock dance, where Krishna magically transformed into a peacock to delight and appease Radharani.
A special bhog (feast) was offered to Lord Krishna in a beautifully adorned garden setting, featuring a variety of delicious offerings. The scene was enchantingly picturesque, making the event a memorable experience for all. Later in the day, devotees lovingly applied mehendi (henna) to the lotus feet of Lord Krishna, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the day’s celebrations.
