75th Birthday of Her Holiness Sushri Dr Vishakha Tripathi Ji, President of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat (Badi Didi)
This month, however, stood out as an exceptionally exciting month when the whole Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat family celebrated the President of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, Her Holiness Sushri Dr Vishakha Tripathi’s Birthday.
Sushri Dr Vishakha Didi (lovingly known as Badi Didi) is for all devotees the ideal of Guru Seva. She has always held Shri Maharaj Ji as her Guru and followed his instructions in letter and spirit. Devotees went all out to ensure that this once-in-a-lifetime event would be a memorable one, marked with lots of joy and appreciation for all that she has done for all of us.
Welcome in Shri Kripalu Dham
Shri Kripalu Dham had the honour of welcoming Badi Didi first. An exact replica of Shri Maharaji’s original home which was called Kripalu Kutir was recreated in the courtyard of Bhakti Mahal. It brought back bittersweet, golden memories of the days when Shri Maharaji would sit there and interact amongst devotees. It also gave the new devotees a live insight of those good old days to help them in their roopdhyan meditation.
Every devotee of Kripalu Dham joined hands and welcomed Badi Didi into their homes and neighbourhood with devotional songs and dances. Every home and lane was decorated with flowers galore and adorned with pictures of Radha Krishna and Shri Maharaji. Special dance items were choreographed and devotees danced and sang “Radhey, Radhey”.
Devotees also prepared special skits and plays based on Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaji’s philosophy, depicting the manner in which Shri Maharaji’s Grace was being bestowed on all surrendered devotees even today. Everyone watching was overwhelmed with gratitude and could find no words to express their thanks. Our Badi Didi was so happy and emotional at the love and outpouring of the devotees.
The students of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat Education also visited Shri Kripalu Dham to have a special Birthday celebration for Badi Didi.

Welcome in Golok Dham, Delhi
On 10 Feb, our three Presidents of JKP and the daughters of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, HH Sushri Dr Vishakha Tripathi Ji, HH Sushri Dr Shyama Tripathi Ji and HH Sushri Dr Krishna Tripathi Ji, then visited Golok Dham, our JKP Affiliate Ashram in Delhi. Hundreds of Sadhaks at Golok Dham welcomed H.H. Sushri Dr. Vishakha Tripathi Ji, President of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat with joyous singing of “Radhe, Radhe”!
Everyone was extremely happy and joyously greeted Badi Didi with flowers. Wonderful kirtans were held daily during Badi Didi’s two-day’s stay at the centre to mark this happy occasion. A special Abhishek of Shri Maharaji’s divine charan was performed and devotees took part with great joy and devotion.
Our Golok Dham, Sushri Yogeshwari had spared no efforts to make this into a stupendous success. She implored devotees to understand the magnitude of this special occasion and give their hearts and minds to the devotional path as laid down by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. This would rightfully be the greatest gift to Badi Didi.

Welcome in Kirti Mandir, Barsana
Immediately after Delhi, Didis left for Barsana on 13 Feb, where the residents of Barsana Dham ashram who were equally enthusiastic and not to be left behind, organized a grand welcome for Badi Didi. Kirti Mandir, celebrating its 5th anniversary was lit in colorful magnificent lights and shined in the background. All three Didis visited the Kirti Mandir and paid their homage to Radha Rani and Mother Kirti, the main deities of the temple. A special Abhishek of Radha Rani was held to mark this occasion.
A special visit was organized by our Didis to Prem Sarovar, literally defined as love (Prem) and lake (Sarovar) whilst in Barsana. This is said to be the place where Shri Radha Krishna met for the first time. Prem Sarovar is said to be the epitome of the selfless love of Shri Radha Krishna which emerged from the tears of their separation. Devotees were treated to a glorious kirtan session, taking in the divine vibrations of this special place. It was a most memorable outing.
Basant Panchami and Gopi Prem Diwas – 14.02.2024
Basant Panchami and Gopi Prem Diwas were also celebrated in Barsana. Our three Presidents of JKP celebrated the start of Holi (Basant Panchami) – a festival of colours with flowers of all hues and colours being strewn all over the devotees. Devotees also had the opportunity to lovingly put chandan tika on the charan of Hari Guru. It was the most exciting time for devotees as they celebrated reenacting the divine love story of Shri Radha Krishna in Basant Panchami.

Basant Sadhana Shivir at Prem Mandir, Vrindavan
A special Basant Sadhana Shivir was held from 17 – 21 Feb 24 at Prem Mandir. The programme consisted of daily Artis, devotional chantings (kirtans), video speeches of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj and more. During this Shivir (sadhana programme), a special Rath Yatra of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj was organised and it was taken around the whole of Prem Mandir. Devotees danced and sang blissful kirtans led by our Swaris as they made their way through the procession. It was a blissful morning. Devotees were also treated to a special Leela of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu depicting the values of humility in devotional practice.
Next day, an early morning outing was organised at Kusum Sarovar, a favourite spot of Shri Maharaj’s, when he used to take devotees there himself. It is famed as a place where Shri Radha Rani would gather flowers with her sakhis for worship. A beautiful Kirtan session was held amidst the tranquil setting. Devotees immersed themselves in the divine setting of this hidden beauty with a serene lake, surrounded by lush green forests, dotted with beautiful flowers. It was a most devotional experience for one and all.
A trip to Vrindavan is not complete without visiting Shyama Shyam Dham, our very first ashram, built by Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. Didis brought all devotees there and had satsang. There was arti and parikrama and special flowers holi was held. Many devotees were drowned in the memories of those days when Shyama Shyam Dham would come alive with Shri Maharaji’s vibrant kirtan sessions.
The highlight of this Basant Shivir was the special pilgrimage to Brahmand Ghat on 20 Feb. In 1964, Shri Maharaji Ji had organised the very first spiritual retreat (sadhana shivir) here. On this day, we were all blessed to be taken to that very place by our beloved Didis. It is the very spot where Baby Krishna once ate mud and when Mother Yashoda opened his mouth to check, Shri Krishnai revealed the entire universe within his tiny mouth. Hence, the place is called Brahmand Ghat.
This is also the same Ghat where Shri Maharaj ji used to bathe in the holy waters of the Yamuna. In that inaugural Sadhana Shivir, people immersed themselves in intense spiritual practices, shedding tears of devotion, while Shri Maharaj ji himself remained in a state of divine ecstasy. On this day, all devotees had the blessed opportunity to behold the divine and magnificent aura of this sacred place as they closed their eyes, and sang along and meditated on Shri Krishna’s leela singing “Hamaro Gopala, Hamaro Nandlala.”
Badi Didi’s 75th birthday culminated on 21 Feb with birthday celebrations in Vrindavan. The day started early with a cultural program followed by Arti of Radha Krishna and Guru Arti. There was a Yugal Charan Abhishek too on this day. Devotees enthusiastically took part. A special cake cutting was held at 1.00 pm on stage with devotees frantically dancing and singing with red heart shaped balloons wishing Sushri Vishakha a very happy birthday. Badi Didi was extremely happy and raised her hands and danced to the tune of “Radhe Radhe.” It was a sight to behold.
Every heart was filled with joy and happiness, thanking Badi Didi for her motherly care and love towards each and every devotee. No eye was left dry in the audience as devotees thanked Badi Didi from the bottom of their hearts. Badi Didi herself was seen to be emotional on a few occasions when she witnessed the love of devotees.

It was a really special month which will go down in the history of JKP. To describe one of a divine nature like Sushri Vishakha is practically impossible. Once someone had asked Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj on the meaning of “Vishakha.” His answer was ‘Vishakha’ is a special branch of Divine Love. We devotees are so fortunate and blessed to have such a Divine personality amidst us, to love and guide us and to bring us closer to our ultimate aim of Guru Bhakti
A special documentary in 4K, Guru Prasada (Grace of Guru) showcases the special Grace that Shri Maharajji gave to all of us. Do watch the video to learn more.
