January 2025 Newsletter and Report

Two Sadhana Shivirs were held in January 2025: Bhakti Diwas 2025 and the Jagadguruttam Diwas Sadhana Shivir. Both events drew hundreds of devotees from across India and abroad.

Bhakti Diwas, celebrated on January 1 as part of the New Year festivities, was named by Shri Maharaji to emphasize that the New Year should be a time for contemplation and meditation rather than worldly celebrations.

Meanwhile, Jagadguru Diwas, observed on January 14, marks the auspicious occasion when Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj was honored as Jagadguruttam—the Supreme Jagadguru of this age—by the Kashi Vidvat Parishad, an esteemed assembly of 500 distinguished scholars.

Lohri, a cherished tradition since the time of Shri Maharaji, was joyously celebrated in the presence of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat President, H.H. Dr. Shyama Tripathi Ji. Devotees gathered around the bonfire, singing bhajans and dancing in devotion, seeking divine blessings in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

We were also deeply honored to host a delegation from the Ministry of External Affairs, comprising 51 members from 31 countries, for a tour of our world-famous Prem Mandir. The delegates were left speechless by the temple’s unparalleled beauty, rich spiritual heritage, and the profound sense of peace it emanated.

Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalaya, Barsana, joyously celebrated its 18th anniversary in the esteemed presence of the JKP Presidents, H.H. Sushri Dr. Shyama Tripathi Ji and H.H. Sushri Dr. Krishna Tripathi Ji. Doctors and caregivers gathered at Jagadguru Dham, expressing their heartfelt gratitude to Shri Maharaji for granting them the divine opportunity to serve humanity while simultaneously serving God. The celebration was deeply moving and filled with devotion.

India’s Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across all our ashrams, hospitals, and schools, marked by the hoisting of the Indian flag and the singing of the National Anthem.

13 Jan 25 – Lohri Celebrations,  Jagadguru Kripalu Dham, Vrindavan Dham

Lohri was marked happily at Jagadguru Kripalu Dham Dham, continuing the cherished tradition passed down from Shri Maharaj Ji’s time. This festival marks the end of winter and the arrival of longer days. It is also rich in symbolism, associated with the legend of Prahlada and Holika, where the sacred fire signifies the triumph of good over evil.  In Hindu tradition, fire holds great significance, and devotees offer sesame seeds, jaggery, popcorn, and peanuts into the flames to seek divine blessings.

On this auspicious occasion, the President of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, H.H. Sushri Dr. Shyama Tripathi Ji, led sadhaks in the Aarti of our beloved Shri Gurudev, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, and ceremoniously lit the Lohri bonfire. Devotees joyfully sang, danced, and circumambulated the sacred fire, celebrating with devotion and gratitude.

Though Sadhaks’ hearts remain heavy, deeply missing our Badi Didi, the day was filled with warmth, hope, and cherished memories of both her and our revered Shri Maharaj Ji. We remain eternally grateful for the boundless love and encouragement bestowed upon us by both our Didis, Sushri Dr. Shyama Tripathi Ji and Sushri Dr. Krishna Tripathi Ji, whose presence continues to inspire and uplift us.
