Attending the Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat Sadhana program has been a transformative experience where many of my questions about life have been answered. I also see so much charitable work happening here, helping needy children and others, with hospitals providing extensive services to those in need. It feels natural to want to be involved; you don’t need to be told to help.

Once you start connecting with Shri Maharajji’s philosophy, you immediately begin to feel his grace, no matter where you are in the world. But when you come to the ashram, the grace you experience is so profound that it compels you to participate in as many programs as you can, like the distribution for school children and aid for widows and other needy people

It’s just the result of infinite, causeless grace, in my opinion. Shri Maharajjii said that Sadhana and Seva are the two wings of Bhakti which can bring you closer to God. Seva keeps you humble, and Sadhana increases your love. It’s through their graciousness that we have ample opportunities for both, and I feel overwhelmingly fortunate to have the chance to engage in both.

The way these Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat distributions (to those in need) are organised, they proceed so smoothly and seamlessly—it’s a joy to be a part of them. Making that connection with some of the locals, handing them something, and then seeing the gratitude in their eyes—even if just for a split second—is an amazing feeling that can only be experienced.

Not only do you get Sadhana here to uplift you within, but you also see the devotion that Shri Maharaj Ji inspires in so many people through Seva. When I personally worked with the Distribution Center, giving out things, seeing the smiles on people’s faces as they received something was profoundly rewarding. How much they enjoyed it, and then for us to be taught the word Seva—to give to someone and get the pleasure of making someone happy—is just incredible.
I think we wouldn’t normally do that in the world, but here it’s all about giving. For instance, the school—I feel like those girls are so fortunate. They would never have had this education otherwise. To uplift these kids who possess all these wonderful qualities and give them a nurturing environment to learn, to become self-sufficient, and to be productive members of society is truly remarkable. I really think Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat does a lot, and it makes you feel good to be a part of it.

I found it quite emotional going into the whole thing, seeing the work that comes from Shri Maharaj Ji’s Trust, Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat. The entire place and everything about it was truly overwhelming—the energy from the people, just everything, is truly amazing. The impact of this place (Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat Ashram) spreads across the world, not just in India, is like a ripple effect.
The satsangis come from all over, and we go back out into the world, spreading love, kindness, and compassion, and telling people about this amazing place. Coming from a Roman Catholic background, Hinduism can initially seem daunting because it encompasses so much—numerous books, a variety of words, and many gods that we are not familiar with in the West. But Shri Maharaj Ji has condensed it perfectly, making it accessible and understandable to everyone, regardless of their prior knowledge of Hinduism. And it’s not just for those who follow Hinduism; people from any religion can come here to worship and feel the love and grace.
